A few hours before Endeavour is set to take off for its final flight, NASA tweeted striking photo of the shuttle on the launch pad at the center of the storm.
Lightning can be seen around the Endeavour as it waits on the launch pad.
NASA says about the photo, "Endeavour" sat on the launch pad 39A as the storm passed to the rotating service structure rolled back, Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Fla. Endeavour launches on STS-134 mission on Friday, April 29 at 3:47 pm EDT. During the 14-day mission, Endeavour and STS-134 crew will deliver Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer and spare parts including two S-band communications antennas, high-pressure gas tank. "
