Blackhawks Vs. Canucks Score

It was a rough two games for Roberto Luongo and Thursday night he took exactly where he stood in Game 4. Luongo struggled in net for the Vancouver Canucks, allowing six goals in Game 4 before allowing three first period goals in Game 5. And in the second period, the onslaught of the Chicago Blackhawks continued with two more goals early to put the Canucks in a 5-0 hole.

After Luongo surrendered his fourth goal of the night, the second Marian Hossa, Vancouver has decided to go in another direction, resulting in Cory Schneider appearance. It took Hossa all 1:26 seconds to put the Blackhawks up 4-0, ending the day at Luongo. Patrick Sharp and Bryan Bickell got help.

Schneider was not much better, giving up another goal just three minutes after entering the game. This was yet another repeat offender, as Duncan Keith scored his second goal of the night to put the Blackhawks in front, 5-0.

Chicago and received some bad news midway through the period, as Ben Smith was forced to withdraw from the apparent knee injury. Smith collided with a Canadian and two appeared to knock knees, leaving him wobbly and unable to continue. Smith went to the locker room just by walking on his own power. Smith returned at the end of the period and met with bone crushing blow to the side.

Period was headed for the quiet before the elbow on the horn of degenerated into a fight through both the Canucks and Blackhawks went at it full bore bedhind Vancouver net. Alexander Elder threw an elbow to the head, Blackhawks objected, and rightly so, and the battle was on.

With the game out of control on the scoreboard, and the passion burning, the third period should be interesting, to say the least. That's all, but more like the Blackhawks lead the Canucks, 5-0.
