1-500 is an American racing snowmobile related to the USCC Racing Association (USCC), which begins at the casino seven clans in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Ski Race 3 day event and is 500 miles (170 km per day). The race was first elected in 1966 and then ran from Winnipeg, Manitoba to St. Paul, Minnesota. race has now begun in Thief River Falls and ran through the Red Lake Indian Reservation and ending back at the starting line. I-500 is known to be the most grueling snowmobile race of all time next to the train dogs in Alaska. Ski-Doo racer Bryan Dyrdahl currently holds the Pro 600 entries in the I-500 at 5 wins (2000,2004,2006,2008,2009). Arctic Cat racer Justin Morken currently holds the record as the youngest rider ever to complete the I-500 (14, 16 days in 2007). April 18, 2009, USCC Racing president Pat Mach announced at the USCC end of the year awards ceremony at Arrowood Resort in Alexandria, MN, that USCC plans to race the original I-500 from Winnipeg to St. Paul in 2012. This will be the 40 th anniversary for me-500.
