Pattaya Police were patrolling the suspicious area and cracked a few illegal sexual activities, after receiving numerous complaints from tourists.
Pattaya, 23 March 2011 [PDN]: at 12:45 am, Police Captain, Thanasit Kaenluem, assistant director of the suppression of the Police Department Pattaya, Chonburi, Pattaya, together with the Civil Defence Volunteer patrolled the area around Pattaya beach from Dolphin Circle Curve (North Pattaya) in walks Street entrance, in order to crack down on illegal prostitution and acts.
Police receive many complaints from tourists who are concerned and worried about illegal acts seen in public places around the beach in Pattaya. This will affect the reputation of Pattaya, and subsequently the tourism industry, especially during the peak season.
Police arrested a number of ladies and women who sell sexual services in more than 20 people. They were taken to the police station to record their statements. Then they were released after been fined 200 baht each
