Selena Gomez gets lots of interesting gifts from her fans

You would not mistake the tiny, 18-year-old Selena Gomez for the statuesque 44-year-old Nicole Kidman. But in the comedy "Monte Carlo", Gomez plays a role originally designed for an Oscar Star "watch."
It's a Cinderella story that could only happen with a little help from Hollywood production system. "Monte Carlo" was originally based on a novel called "Bounty Hunters" tells the story of four middle-aged Midwestern woman walking across France. Now is the tale of three Texas girls - one 18 and the other two (played by Katie Cassidy and Leighton Meester) are 21 - love and trouble on the Riviera.
"It was based on a book aimed at older women," Gomez explained during a promotional tour stop in Livonia on June 27. "But when Fox was in their hands, they decided to make it younger. Nicole still wanted to be involved, so she became a producer."
Fox has already had an interest in Gomez, who starred in last summer's "Beezus and Ramona."
In the "Monte Carlo", Gomez plays Grace, a recent high school graduate, who performs her dream to see Paris. In addition, she gets more than she expected when she is dead ringer for snotty, secular amoral British Cornelia Winthrop Scott. (Gomez also depicts the caustic Cordelia.)
Gomez glowing words for his colleagues in the film and Mr. Cassidy - "They were the best girls I could work in tandem with - so sweet and protective, and I could go to them for nothing" - although it did not have much time to hang out together with them before filming.
"Leighton was still packing (her TV series)" Gossip Girl ", and Katie came in late, so we were kind of thrown into it. But it worked."
Gomez spent two weeks practicing riding on the scene in which she is drawn to polo.
And, unlike the Monte Carlo casino, everybody wins.
Gomez gets a star vehicle production Kidman earns credit and adolescent audiences were treated to nice comedy that pays tribute to the eccentric spirit of the 1930s, mistaken identity farce - while including a thoughtful tribute to the most famous ex in Monte-Carlo resident, Grace Kelly. The iconic actress, now a princess named in the French saw the clip from director Alfred Hitchcock's "To Catch a Thief."
"That was all Tom does," Gomez said, referring to the director Thomas Bezucha ("The Family Stone"). "He wanted to watch a movie. I know, Grace Kelly, but I've never seen before."
These days, Gomez barely has time to watch your movies.
In addition to pushing a movie, it also makes a singing performances drew the attention on her album with her group, Scene. "When the Sun Goes Down," went on sale June 28 and hit Gomez, "Who said," is shown in the "Monte Carlo." She was so busy, she was shocked to realize "Sun" was also coming the same week.
"Oh, yes!" She gasped, when the release date was mentioned. "I forgot - oh, my goodness, I am very nervous for this whole week."
In case you have not heard, between acting, writing and touring, she is also a dating a guy named Justin Bieber.
Not surprisingly Gomez, who confesses "I'm getting run down easily," was admitted to hospital earlier this month. It feels much better, but she downplays reports that it has completely redesigned its habit of snacking.
"Not necessarily," she said. "Ultimately, I am 18 year old girl who wants to eat a lot of junk food. But I'm trying to incorporate healthy foods into my diet."
While some teen stars go out of their way to insist that they do not want to be seen as role models, Gomez seems to have made peace with this situation.
"I do not necessarily mean that it is," she said. "It's not something that I obviously set myself to be, but it's a compliment, really. I work very hard and try to be the best I can be. I'm not perfect - I make mistakes, I am a man - and I still feel that I grew up. To live with my fans. "
