Sean Kingston was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Sunday night after he crashed into a bridge while riding his jet ski.
Local 10 News in Miami, Florida, reports that about 6 pm ET "Beautiful Girls" singer and a female passenger crashed into a bridge that connects Miami to Palm Island to McArthur Causeway.
Crews Miami fire rescue responded to the scene and rushed to Jackson Memorial Kingston, where he is now. The representative from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission told local 10, of Kingston and the female passenger "was in need of medical care."
According to Local 10 News the cause of the accident is still under investigation, but so far does not seem that alcohol plays a part in the accident.
TMZ reports that Kingston is being treated in the trauma unit in critical condition. MTV could not confirm this information.
An unnamed spokesperson for the singer issued a statement TMZ: "Sean Kingston was in the accident are still no more details are available at the moment he and his family thank everyone for their well wishes ..."
Sean Kingston has burst on the music scene in 2007 with his hit recording of "Beautiful Girls", with its gold-selling debut. In 2009 he released his sophomore album, Tomorrow, which was headed by RedOne produced the single "Fire Burning." In February, he dropped King Kingz mixtape and is currently working on her third as yet untitled LP .
