Omar Abdullah Condoles Death Of Uncle Pai

On Thursday, New Delhi, February 25, Ammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condoles death of Anant Pai, popularly known as Uncle Pai, who died in Mumbai.Uncle Pai was the founder of Indian comics, in particular Amar Chitra Katha series in 1967 which retold traditional Indian folk tales and mythological stories, biographies of historical figures. Pai follow it with Tinkle comic book series, children's anthology.The 81-year-old was hospitalized last week for treatment of fractures after he fell down the stairs. He suffered a massive heart attack on Thursday morning, and breathed his last around 5 pm Amar Chitra Katha sells about three million comics per year in English and over 20 Indian languages.
