WWE Champion Edge retires due to injury


He was at the peak of the company and was one of the most popular figures in the WWE for over a decade. On Monday night's edition of the raw WWE, however, the legacy of Edge has come to an end.
 
Edge - real name Adam Copeland - announced his retirement due to injurys sustained for several matches.
 
He suffered from neuropraxia, characterized by symptoms such as numbness and uncontrollable shaking.
 
Official Statement WWE claims that this is not the first time that the border is suffering from muscle disorders.
 
"MRI is introduced into the Atlanta Midtown Diagnostic Imaging last Monday was sent to Dr. Joseph Maroon, renowned neurosurgeon, Professor of Neurosurgery in Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After careful examination of MRI, it was found that the Edge will never be cleared to compete again, and thus, he is forced to resign. "
 
Copeland, 37, made his debut under the moniker Edge June 22, 1998.
 
In his thirteen year career, the Canadian-born wrestler won the world heavyweight total of seven times and become a four-time champion of WWE.
 
Among his many awards include the successful Tag Team Championship reigns fighters Christian, Chris Benoit, Hulk Hogan, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton and Chris Jericho.
 
He is also a five-time Intercontinental Champion, WCW U.S. champion, two-time money in the bank winner and the winner of the 2001 King of the ring tournament.
 
Since his retirement came a vacation WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
