Breaking News Break Down Is going To Start Distracted Drivers

Department of the Los Angeles County sheriff announced Tuesday that she, along with other law enforcement agencies in the Southland in the ticket motorists who use mobile phones or trying to text while driving.

The Department will join 225 other local agencies plus the California Highway Patrol in a zero-tolerance through the rest of April.

"Take the issue of distracted driving very seriously," said Capt. Sean Mathers Risk Management Sheriff's Office. "Mobile phone use and text messaging while driving such a serious concern that we are putting officers on the road to ensure zero tolerance. It's a text message or phone call is really worth $ 159?"

Drivers who use mobile devices to four times more likely to get into an accident serious enough to injure themselves, Mathers said.
